A mancave garden room…the ultimate way to kick off each match, with your very own exclusive World Cup 2022 experience!
In my family we love to do a World Cup sweep stake, which tends to get those that are not so interested in football quite interested, especially if there’s a chance of winning £30!
We all try and get together to watch at least one match, have a few drinks, and a BBQ. It’s always quite a buzz, with chattering and cheering our team on. A World Cup in the winter, means we shouldn’t expect an outdoor grill-up, but with your own insulated garden room and a big screen, the party doesn’t need to stop – you already have the perfect base for your pitch-side hospitality suite!
If you are the lone football fan in the house, your mancave/she-shed will be the ideal place to watch, have a few friends round for a drink and some match-chat, or just a place you can shout and yell at the referee! Get your flags flying and make your Garden Room your place to enjoy it!
Alternatively, you may be looking for somewhere to escape… if your family are buzzing with football frenzy, and the thought of 4 weeks filled with kick offs and analysis is just a nightmare to you, where do you go to get away from it? How about taking your mug of hot chocolate and disappearing into your Garden Room for a few hours with your favourite box-set or good book…
Mancave Garden Room Ideas
However you intend to use your garden room, here are a few tips on how to make your space really work for you.
Consider a Garden Bar
What better way to take your mancave to the next level, than to add a GARDEN BAR. A space to make your own drinks with a fridge to chill your favourite tipple. Afterall, a fully stocked bar in a pitch-side hospitality suite really is the icing on the cake!
A Focal Point
Be it a large screen for the footy, a bar area or a pool table it’s good to decide your focal point and set up the remaining space and furniture appropriately. The bonus of a garden room is its flexibility, so focal points may change as usage does, over time.
Comfortable seating
Being comfortable should be high on your list of importance. A few comfy chairs, sofa (or sofa-bed), recliners or bean bags, there are some great options for comfy seats! Once you have your focal point, the space for your seating area usually fall into place.
Mancave Garden Room Lighting
A mancave does not need to be dark and dingy as the name may imply (nor are they necessarily to be used by a man!). Lighting is an important consideration for any garden room, as your choice can completely alter the feel and mood of your room.
Standard in all our rooms, we include a very high quality, slimline LED downlight. Cove lighting is another great option, or specially designed pendent lights above a pool table, for example. Lamps of all shapes and styles are a great way of adding your own personal stamp.
A Space to Work
A dedicated space to work, separate from the main house and its distractions is always a good consideration too. Even if its only used occasionally, it’s a great option to have.
Other ideas include a wall gallery for all your favourite prints or memorabilia, storage and shelving, a sound system and smart tech.
So, now that you have your mancave garden room goals in place, get the bunting up, fill the bar, order in Pizza and give our national teams the support they deserve….and hopefully they’ll bring it home!
“It has been a real pleasure dealing with everyone at Swift. We particularly appreciated the level of communication prior to and during the project so we knew exactly what to expect and when. In our experience this is something that is often lacking in the building trade and is a frequent source of frustration for the customer. Both the work and conduct of the build team were impeccable. We are delighted with the finished product.”
