Our Buildings
Footings and Foundations
Footings and foundations are required to support the SIP structure which maintain the overall structural integrity of the building. There is not a ‘one size fits all’ and they can vary depending upon site-specific conditions. Considerations include the size and weight of the structure, the natural makeup of the ground (such as native soil type) sloping ground, proximity to drains and trees, underground services the water table etc. Swift will work alongside structural engineers to determine the correct footings and foundations for your building. Swift have experience in the installation of numerous footing types, including;
- Concrete pile footings
- Reinforced concrete raft (insulated and non-insulated)
- Helical Screw Piles (BBA Approved)
- Concrete strip footings
Planning Permission
If your project requires planning permission, we can advise and guide you through the full process. We are able to provide a full planning consultation service and so the process can be simplified for you. Where a planning application is made on your behalf, we usually expect a decision within a couple of months.
SIP’s
What is a SIP? This acronym stands for ‘Structurally Insulated Panel’.
The SIP method of construction allows most of the structural elements to be prefabricated off-site in controlled factory conditions. This ensures speed of erection when delivered to site.
The panels we use are British-built and adhere to the highest standards, including BBA certification. This means that you can relax, knowing that the quality is approved, tested and monitored. This translates into a building that is structurally strong and accurately installed.
Design Process
We often work alongside architects and designers who have already been appointed by the client. If required, we can provide you with a bespoke design in-house.
We will always promise a straightforward and honest approach – We know our strengths and we know how these can serve you the best. We will work with you throughout to accomplish your goal.
Internal Finish
Swift have vast experience in a wide a range of natural and synthetic materials to enhance your buildings aesthetic appearance. From simply plastered and painted surfaces to tiling and bespoke feature walls, with almost limitless options in between. This extends to final fixtures and fittings too!

Roofs
SIP panels can form both flat and pitched roofs and can be finished with any type of roof covering. Swift have experience in the design and installation of numerous commercial roof types, as well as the installation of solar, sedum ‘green’ and ‘brown’ roofs.
External Finish
The make-up of our SIP structures gives us complete freedom with your preferred finishes. Like the roof structure, SIP panels are compatible with almost all of the recognised cladding finishes. Some of which include;
